Ayurveda and The Five
Elements:
The central aim of Ayurveda is a state of
absolute perfect health. Ayurveda7.com, through the
videos & information provided, we
have precise guiding principles on how to live our lives
in harmony with the natural rhythms and the universal laws of
nature.
According to Ayurveda, disease will inevitably
occur when this harmony is disrupted.

The basis of Ayurveda and its profound promise:
 |
The basis of Ayurveda is prevention of
disease as its primary mission. This can be
accomplished by adhering to Ayurvedic
Principles and following
certain practices and guidelines so we can
ultimately accomplish the profound promise of
Ayurveda which is the extension of life as well
as to achieve better understanding of ourselves
and the world around us.
What is there more important in life than to
live a long and healthy life? I believe there's
nothing more important. The greatest wealth
there can be, it has to be health.

The Definition of Health From
an Ayurvedic Perspective:
Ayurveda defines health as an absolute perfect
state of health in all areas of life. Mental,
physical, spiritual and social well-being. Merely the
absence of disease or infirmity doesn’t constitute health.
It may be good enough for western medical system, but
certainly not for Ayurveda.
Living in harmony with the universal laws
of nature and achieving our true potential are intrinsic to
Ayurveda.
Wester Medicine: "One-size-fits-all"
System:
 |
Western medical system is highly
materialistic and somewhat mechanical in its
approach. The "One-size-fits-all" system is
certainly primitive. Not to mention that is
mostly inert and inorganic type system.
Its main focus is suppression of symptoms
rather than looking at the source of the
problem.
In terms of equipment, testing, etc.,
western medicine has advanced tremendously, yet
it is still the crudest form of treatment
because it approaches fixing the body as if it
was an automobile treating every person the
same.

Imagine this: your car shows a red light
in the dashboard, would you
consider cutting the wire so the red light
goes off? Of course not, that would be insane! Yet, this is
exactly what I believe most people do when they get sick.
They take the drugs hoping the symptoms go away, instead of
eliminating the source of the symptoms.
Quick fixes induced by drugs are ONLY
temporary and usually with bad side effects. I believe the
only way to achieve true and optimum health is to follow the
Ayurvedic Principles or other holistic systems which most
have their roots in Ayurveda.
